New renovations to the Bill Snyder Family Stadium represents a historic step towards the future of Kansas State University and K-State Athletics. The Stadium and its associated activities are an integral part of the campus athletic experience as well as a major recruiting tool for all K-State sports and the University in general. The newly expanded and renovated stadium enhanced VIP amenities and created new price points to drive revenue.
Heery acted as the sports design consultant to the architect of record, AECOM. This project focuses on an eight-story new press/suite tower above the existing grandstands. Service components on the main lobby entry level include ticketing and merchandise sales, restrooms and concessions, as well as TV production staging and all associated infrastructure to support the facility. Also included is a tailgate terrace, unique to all of college football with two pre-game activation spaces for 717 people. The second level of the stadium includes club seating with outdoor terraces, and a mezzanine level with 38 fourseat loges that overlook the club lounge. On the third level, the Heery team designed a University Lounge area, suites, and conference space. Level four includes individual suites with a large gathering space dedicated to those patrons. Finally the fifth level was designed is for a 100-person working press level.
