CBRE and CBRE | HEERY participated in a Feeding the Homeless Project event on Saturday November 18th in Atlanta. Feeding the Homeless Project is a non-profit organization that provides hot meals to the less fortunate and seeks to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless in the community. The organization partners with individuals, organizations and businesses in Atlanta for volunteer service in support of its mission.
With temperatures in the morning beginning to rise from the 40s, about 150 people showed up to the temporary outdoor dining area in the Old 4th Ward for a hot breakfast prepared and served by the all-volunteer crew. Represented by approximately 25 volunteers, including CBRE | HEERY Director of Engineering Michael Rometo and Project Manager Craig Malinauskas, the group provided breakfasts of sausage, grits, biscuits, gravy, and bananas to everyone who lined up for a meal. The leftovers were packaged up and sent to a local soup kitchen so that nothing went to waste.
Feeding the Homeless Project is a non-denominational, faith-based organization. As a 501c3 organization, Feeding the Homeless Project can accept charitable donations that directly impact its ability to deliver hot meals and emotional support to homeless men and women.
