Mercy Philadelphia Hospital celebrated a century of service with a community block party on Saturday, June 30. Neighbors of the West Philadelphia community enjoyed food, rides, games and music to commemorate Mercy Philadelphia’s 100 years of service.
CBRE | Heery Philadelphia Architectural Project Manager Will Newbold along with Architectural Designers Tyler Brandis and Eva Gjoncari joined the celebration as hosts of CBRE | Heery’s building activity booth for kids. The booth included a gumdrop structure building competition (tallest tower, longest bridge), with Heery toy trucks as prizes. The design team also brought along 3D computer goggles which provided a virtual design tour of the Hospital's new Emergency Department that is currently under construction, along with samples of the bricks and other materials to be used on the new building. The Block Party was a huge hit with the community, and included music, Zumba dancing, a 30-foot high rock climbing wall, petting zoo, and pony rides.
