The University of North Texas recently revealed the new Indoor Practice Facility to the Mean Green football team. CBRE | HEERY architect Marc Clear and UNT Athletic Director Wren Baker (pictured above, R-L) were on hand to share in the special moment and witness the reaction from the players.
Officially named, the Lovelace and McNatt Families Practice Facility, the building is football-focused but open to all UNT athletes that benefit from practicing indoors.
The $18.9 million facility allows the UNT athletics teams to avoid disruptions to their practice schedules based on weather and promises to have an impact in the ultra-competitive area of athlete recruiting. An athlete lounge, track running lanes, and an elevated platform for capturing video for coaching purposes are incorporated into the project.
