Facing capital maintenance costs at the former home stadium of the Atlanta Braves that would have been more costly than building a new stadium, plans for a new stadium were developed.
CBRE | Heery provided owner representation services to Cobb County Government for the new Atlanta Braves Baseball stadium, Truist Park, located in the Cumberland area of Cobb County, Georgia, northwest of Atlanta.
Truist Park was designed with the fans in mind. With 41,000 seats, the more intimate configuration maximizes sightlines and elevations, placing a higher percentage of seats closer to the field than any other ballpark in Major League Baseball. A 90-foot sunscreen—three times the size of the former sunscreen at Turner Field—and air conditioning on every level ensures cool temperatures for fans on hot summer days. The plaza serves as a grand central gathering space for fans, families, residents and visitors, and as a hub of activity, with new and fresh events throughout the year.
