National DCP, LLC

National DCP, LLC (NDCP) is a $2 billion supply chain management company serving the franchisees of Dunkin’ Donuts. The cooperative leverages its expertise in sourcing, purchasing and distribution to provide comprehensive business solutions including food, beverages, supplies, packaging, technology and healthcare to more than 8,900 U.S. quick service restaurants and customers in 51 countries. To support Dunkin's growth and expansion plans, the company moved its headquarters from Boston, MA to Duluth, GA.

The member owned sourcing, purchasing and distribution cooperative engaged Turner & Townsend Heery to design their new corporate office. The project included an executive suite and board room, call center, administrative office space and a large break/collaboration area fully stocked with an endless supply of Dunkin’ Donut product.

The call center is located “front and center” as you enter the facility to highlight the importance of customer support while open office space is located at the perimeter to provide light into the floor with offices lining the remaining sides of the floor. To enhance interaction, meeting space is distributed throughout where corridors meet and flexibility is enhanced through a break room that can also be a large meeting area. The interior design finishes were selected to reference the materials used in their distribution facilities including raw concrete floors, exposed metal structure, wood shipping palettes, and industrial lighting. To accommodate fast track delivery, Turner & Townsend Heery provided programming, design development, and construction drawings over a six-week period with construction lasting only eight weeks.  The aggressive schedule for this project required specification of materials, equipment and furnishings that supported expedited order and delivery to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
