The University of Cincinnati's new Nippert Stadium West Pavilion raises the standard for collegiate stadium facilities. The dramatic architecture contributes to the state-of-the-art campus by delivering a showcase building for the University and improves the gameday and non-gameday environment, all while being located on a tight site.
Heery was the Architect of Record and National Sports Designer for the Nippert Stadium west pavilion structure and east concourse at the University of Cincinnati. This project stretches across seven levels, including a 130,000 SF press / VIP tower, the replacement of all existing game day functions, and enhanced premium seating through the addition of 1,100 club seats, 30 loge boxes, and 21 private suites.
With contemporary design being a noticeable element on University of Cincinnati’s campus, Heery Sports had the opportunity to provide innovative design solutions to compliment the surrounding areas. Maximizing originality with the functionality of the athletic facility and high end VIP spaces was a challenge, yet a stimulating part of the design process. Heery collaborated with Architecture Research Office on this project.
