A/E/C Professionals & The Diverse Art of Expression
Samantha Susock

The Art Expression Creation hosted by SMPS Central Florida Chapter features works of art created by artisans of the A/E/C community. The event is an art show, sale and auction where proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Artists Doug Kleppin, Vice President, Area Manager and Bob Egleston, Architect, Executive Associate displayed their pieces of art which were auctioned off and recognized.

Bob's piece titled “Bent Pine,” is a black and white photograph taken in Yosemite National Park atop an 8,100 foot tall Sentinel Dome. He has been practicing his photography skills over the past five years with a focus on architecture and landscapes.

Doug’s artistic craft is watercolor painting. His two entries tied for First Place in the Watercolor Division. He and his wife develop abstract watercolor and pencil sketches on special paper then compose and combine them as woven quilts.

Some of Central Florida’s biggest A/E/C industry firms participated in this year’s Art Expression Creation, with Heery earning top honors. A great opportunity for Heery and other A/E/C professionals to display their talented crafts outside of the office.
