This 189,000 SF state-of-the-art team facility encloses the north end zone of Arizona Stadium by completing the seating bowl and connecting the existing east and west concourses. This new connection is accomplished with a spacious open view concourse complete with ample restrooms, concessions, 11,000 SF club, 300-person club with new covered outdoor seating, and 60 four-person loge boxes. The challenge of this project was to improve daily football operations by providing a single facility that met the needs of athletes, coaches and support staff while also expanding the inventory of VIP / Club amenities that generate new revenue through the end zone club. The new space added the following spaces for team and player development:
The sleek design contributed to the University of Arizona’s campus, providing a central axis for the procession of players and fans before the game. The two, branded stair towers frame the monumental approach from the main campus green, used for tailgating and the official team/band walk to the field. The Heery designers also incorporated overhangs to allow the bright Arizona sun into the building to create light spaces and to protect fans. The simple, bold materials also reflect the character and unify the building with surrounding campus architecture.
“Thanks again for all your effort on LSFF…it has been a home run from day one with our recruits, players and fans.”
